By using this website, you acknowledge that you are of legal age and capable, and you guarantee the truthfulness and accuracy of the information provided. Any fraudulent or infringing use in your name or on behalf of a third party may result in the denial of access to our services and potential financial liability. These general terms and conditions apply to any use of our website www.hoteldutramway-laon.fr. The offers and general conditions presented are valid on the day of consultation. They are periodically updated, but any reservation made will be honored on the date of stay under the specified conditions. These sales conditions are subject to change at any time, and the applicable conditions will be those in effect on the date the reservation is made.

ARTICLE 1 – RATES

The rates indicated are in Euros and inclusive of VAT, taking into account the applicable VAT on the day of reservation. Our prices may be modified at any time without affecting confirmed reservations, except for changes in legal or regulatory taxes imposed by the competent authorities.
The rates are per room for the specified number of people and the selected period.
They are displayed inclusive of all taxes, excluding any daily and personal tourist tax that may be levied on behalf of the municipality.
No stay reserved before the implementation of a promotional offer will be subject to reimbursement, even partially.

ARTICLE 2 – RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT METHODS

The reservation will only be effective if it is guaranteed by the customer, either by providing a valid credit card number or by paying a deposit, and after receiving a detailed reservation confirmation.
Payment for all services will be made directly at the hotel (except for prepaid bookings at the time of reservation).
Reservations, regardless of their origin, must be paid in Euros only.
Hôtel du Tramway accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, and has a secure reservation system (SSL) that protects and encrypts all sensitive data transmitted during the reservation to prevent disclosure to a third party.
Any payment that is irregular, ineffective, incomplete, or fraudulent for reasons attributable to the customer will result in the cancellation of the order at the customer’s expense, without prejudice to any civil or criminal action against them.
The customer is solely responsible for their choice of services and their suitability for their needs, and therefore the liability of Hôtel du Tramway cannot be sought in this regard.

ARTICLE 3 – FORCE MAJEURE

Force majeure refers to any event external to the parties that is both unforeseeable and insurmountable, which prevents the customer from fulfilling all or part of the obligations provided for in the contract. This includes strikes affecting transportation, hotel staff, government or public riots.

ARTICLE 4 – MODIFICATION AND CANCELLATION OF STAY

Any modification or cancellation of a reservation must be requested by email to contact@hoteldutramway-laon.fr or by phone at 03.23.29.53.83.
The request will only become effective when Hôtel du Tramway has confirmed its acceptance in writing.
In the event of a modification or cancellation of the stay, the following conditions apply (except in cases of force majeure):

For any request made less than 72 hours before the scheduled arrival date, the amount of the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show on the scheduled arrival date, your credit card will be charged for the amount of the first night.
Any stay that has commenced is fully payable.
In case of justified force majeure, the prepaid amount will be credited back to your account.
For extended stays, the guest must notify the hotel reception by 10:00 AM at the latest on the scheduled departure day to inquire about availability.
ARTICLE 5 – THE HOTEL AND SERVICES
The child breakfast rate applies to children up to and including 12 years old.
Only domestic animals weighing less than 10kg will be accepted, with a limit of one animal per room*, with a supplement starting from €5 including taxes per night.
For hygiene reasons, animals are not allowed in the restaurant or breakfast areas during service hours.
*subject to availability of rooms where animals are allowed.
Rooms are available from 4:00 PM and must be vacated by 10:00 AM on weekdays and 11:00 AM on weekends on the day of departure. An additional fee may be charged for non-compliance with the maximum departure time. In case of arrival after 8:00 PM, the reception must be notified.
Magnetic cards providing access to the rooms must be returned to the reception upon departure.
The guest agrees and undertakes to use the room responsibly. Any behavior contrary to public morals and order may result in the hotelier asking the guest to leave the establishment without any compensation or refund if payment has already been made.

ARTICLE 6 – RELOCATION
In case of exceptional circumstances or the inability to provide the reserved room to the guest, or in case of force majeure, Hôtel du Tramway reserves the right to accommodate the guest in an equivalent category hotel, offering similar services, subject to the prior agreement of the guest.

ARTICLE 7 – COMPLAINTS
Any complaint must be sent to Hôtel du Tramway by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt within 15 days following the departure of the stay subject to the complaint. After this period, no complaint will be considered.

ARTICLE 8 – DATA PROTECTION
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act (law 78-17), customers are informed that their reservation is subject to computer processing. Users have the right to access and rectify the data provided, which can be exercised by contacting the head office: SARL DES AMIS 173, rue de Mauregny 02840 COUCY LES EPPES. It is specified that this information is not disclosed to third parties.
Hôtel du Tramway offers internet access via Wi-Fi. The guest agrees not to use the computer resources made available for the reproduction, representation, provision, or communication to the public of copyrighted works or objects protected by neighboring rights, such as texts, images, photographs, audiovisual works, software, and video games, without the authorization of the rights holders provided for in Books I and II of the Intellectual Property Code when such authorization is required.
Hôtel du Tramway will make its best efforts to ensure the proper functioning of the website with its suppliers, but cannot guarantee that the website is free from any anomalies or malfunctions. Therefore, Hôtel du Tramway cannot be held responsible for damages resulting from the use or total or partial inability to use the website. In particular, its liability cannot be engaged in case of non-performance or improper performance due to the client, a third party, or force majeure.

ARTICLE 9 – RESPONSIBILITIES
The hotel declines any responsibility in case of theft, loss, or damage to the belongings of the guests during their stay. The guest will be held responsible for any damage, degradation, or act of vandalism that may occur as a result of occupying the premises and/or the actions of participants and/or personnel under their responsibility, both to the movable and immovable property belonging to or not belonging to the hotel. Therefore, Hôtel du Tramway may request the guest to leave the establishment without any compensation or refund for the ongoing stay, and to reimburse the damages caused by these acts.

Article 10 – APPLICABLE LAW
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. In accordance with Article L141-5 of the Consumer Code, the consumer may, at their discretion, refer the matter to one of the territorially competent jurisdictions under the Civil Procedure Code, or the jurisdiction of the place where they resided at the time of the conclusion of the contract or the occurrence of the harmful event. However, the parties undertake to make their best efforts to reach an amicable settlement.
